A setting of a prayer for the sovereign, which was customized for each monarch until Queen Anne, and perhaps beyond.
Lyrics: Anon
O Lord, make thy servant, (Elizabeth our Queen/our sov'reign lord, the King), to rejoice in thy strength. Give (her her/him his) heart's desire, and deny not the request of (her/his) lips: but prevent (her/him) with thine everlasting blessing, and give (her/him) a long life ev'n for ever and ever. Amen.
