Vaughan Richardson was a pupil of John Blow, and organist at Winchester Cathedral, 1692 - 1729. This piece was a traditional introit at the Cathedral, and this is the "improved" harmonisation recorded c.1800. The original harmonisation is also available.

O how amiable are thy dwellings: thou Lord of hosts!
My soul hath a desire and a longing to enter into the courts of the Lord: My heart and my flesh rejoice in the living God.
