From Promptuarii musici (vol. 1), 1611.
Lyrics: Psalm 27, v.1,3
Dominus illuminatio mea et salus mea: quem timebo? Dominus protector vitae meae: a quo trepidabo?
Si consistant adversus me castra, non timebit cor meum: si exsurgat adversus me proelium, in hoc ego sperabo.
The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom then shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom then shall I be afraid?
Though an host of men were laid against me, yet shall not my heart be afraid: and though there rose up war against me, yet will I put my trust in him.
