From Atterbury's collection of glees for three and four voices, pub. c.1777.

Lyrics: Anon

Content and rosy dimpled mirth
Sit sweetly smiling on each brow;
Each hour to some new joy gives birth
And in each breast true raptures glow.
The nymph, with love-enticing arms,
Blends the humid kiss.
Then let no cynic brow profane
The raptures of this jocund day;
Let us the sparkling goblet drain,
And laugh and drink and sport and play.
