Hassler's setting of a text from the Office of the Dead. From Reliquae sacrorum concentuum, 1615; this is a pared down version of the eight-part setting first published in Sacri concentus, 1612.
Lyrics: Job, ch.1, v.21; ch.2, v.10

Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away; even as it hath pleased the Lord, so cometh things to pass:
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
