Christmas motet from Cantiones Sacræ de praecipuis festis, Hamburg, 1599.
Lyrics: John, ch.1, v.14,1
Verbum caro factum est, et habitavit in nobis. Et vidimus gloriam ejus, gloriam quasi unigeniti a Patre, plenum gratiæ et veritatis.
In principio erat verbum, et verbum erat apud Deum, et Deus erat verbum plenum gratiæ et veritatis.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word, full of grace and truth, was God.
