Richardson was organist at Winchester Cathedral, 1693-1729. This piece is typical of his deceptively simple style.
Lyrics: Psalm 82, v.1,3,4,8

God standeth in the congregation of princes: he is a Judge among all gods.
Defend the poor and fatherless: see that such as are in need and necessity have right,
save them from the hand of the ungodly.
Arise, O Lord, and judge thou the earth: for thou shalt take all heathen to thine inheritance.
Hallelujah.
