Lyrics: Mr Nugent

Zephyr haste, ah swiftly fly
To the charmer of my heart;
In the semblance of a sigh,
All my bosom feels impart;
Tenderly a flame reveal
I never can conceal.
But should she, with cold disdain
Or pointed mirth my suit deride,
Careless wanton in my pain,
Or cruelly my passion chide.
Return to me, the tidings bear,
And I will drown thee in a tear.
