Mulso was a lawyer and a keen amateur singer. A member of several catch clubs, he attained the Presidency of the Anacreontic Society, 1778 - 1782. This catch won Mulso a Catch Club prize medal in 1766. This edition comprises a modern realisation, and a statement of the piece in its original specialised format.
Lyrics: Anon, probably the composer
Don't push my tender passion;
You hurt my reputation.
Go no further, I'll cry murder;
Lie still, fond inclination.
Don't push my tender passion;
You hurt my reputation.
Go no further, I'll cry murder;
Lie still, fond inclination.
