From Cantiones quinque senis vocibus, Stettin, 1589. This edition is offered at the published pitch (high chiavette) for S.S.A.T.T.B. or transposed down a fourth for A.A.T.T.T.B.
Lyrics: Psalm 42, v. 1,2
Like as the hart desireth the water-brooks: so longeth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul is athirst for God, yea, even for the living God: when shall I come to appear before the presence of God?
Like as the hart desireth the water-brooks: so longeth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul is athirst for God, yea, even for the living God: when shall I come to appear before the presence of God?
