Sicut Moses exaltavit serpentem in deserto, ita exaltari oportet filium hominis ut omnis qui credit in ipsum, non pereat sed habeat vitam æternam.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must that Son of man be lifted up, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life.
