Lyrics: Anon
Decantabat populus Israel
et universa multitudo Iacob canebat legitime
et David cum cantoribus cytharam
pulsabat in domo Domini.Alleluia.
Sanctificati sunt, ergo sacerdotes et levitae
et universus Israel deducant arcam
fœderis Domini in jubilo,
et David cum cantoribus cytharam
percutiebat in domo Domini. Alleluia.
The people did sing in Israel,
and the whole congregation of Jacob did sing together,
and David with the singers
played the lute in the temple of the Lord. Alleluia.
They were held holy, so the priests and Levites
together with all of Israel
brought forth the Ark of the Covenant with rejoicing.
and David with the singers
played the lute in the temple of the Lord. Alleluia.
